It was her first paid, professional wedding. She had been hired as a designer — to dream up the look, the feel, the visual world the couple would walk into.

But she could not stop there.

"I started thinking beyond design and into every detail the couple would have to juggle," she says. "I began creating timelines, reaching out to vendors, and mapping out the flow of the entire day so nothing would feel overwhelming for them."

She and her husband drove to the venue early — measuring tape in hand — to walk the space, sketch a layout, and figure out how to fit a real dance floor into a tight room without losing a single guest seat. By the time the wedding day arrived, she had quietly stepped into the role of coordinator without anyone asking her to.

Everything moved smoothly. The couple was out of the venue exactly when they were supposed to be. And at one point during dinner, while she was passing the sweetheart table, the groom reached out and gently grabbed her wrist.

"He thanked me with so much sincerity and gratitude — and I could see in his eyes that he truly meant every word."
